Musical Monday: The Stella's - Perfect

Whew! February already! I'm not quite sure what happened to January or where it went, but all's well in our house hold, if not crazy busy.
I make no apologies for the little code of silence I had going on here last month, but am hoping to break it this month. I've been busy with some projects and working on my 4 F's... I'm afraid fitness is kind of taking over my life...
We can talk about that more later though! for now, lets get back on track with a musical monday...

Musical Monday: Meaghan Smith - It Snowed

I can not believe it's December!! I love Christmas and have secretly been preparing for months now. Zac was due December 1 and whenever we told someone his due date they almost always said how bad they felt for him because his birthday would always be over shadowed by Christmas excitement. For that reason Christmas decorations or preparation do not happen (or are at least kept on the down-low) until after all birthday celebrating has been completed.
So now I can officially let my Christmas loving self free and start the celebrating!
I love Meaghan Smith, I've shared her videos on here a couple of times but thought she was the perfect way to usher in Christmas music to the ol' blog-a-roo (yes, I actually say things like that in real life)!

Musical Monday: Mumford and Sons - I Will Wait

It's Monday... again... already...
Our weekend was interesting. I'm not sure I would say it was good, but then it wasn't all bad either... We let the boys watch The Avengers after a lot of begging and it made their lives. They really really enjoyed it despite my concerns that they would find parts too scary.

Eli has taken temper tantrums to a whole new level and Zac has become increasingly needy. We expected a few set backs or changes once Charlotte was introduced and I'm thinking that's what these new attitudes represent. My mister had a work related fancy dinner on Saturday night that left me home alone with the three of them over bed time and I succeeded (!) and then had some glorious time to myself. We also came to terms with a few potential disappointments coming up in life.
We've had better weekends and yet we've had worse, so who am I to complain...

Now... on to the music...
I feel like I have spent the last few years hearing about Mumford and Sons everytime I turn around... and yet, I had never actually heard them. This weekend I decided to hit up You Tube to try and see what the big deal was.

Musical Monday: Sara Bareilles - Single Ladies cover

I just recently discovered Sara Bareilles... perhaps you could say I re-discovered her recently? Truth is, I had no idea who she was, listened to a few of her songs, bought her CD and then discovered that I did actually know who she was... yes, it was an interesting turn of events.
This is one of the first songs I found on You Tube that made me fall in love with her... I'm not typically crazy about "cover" songs, but I love how different this one is from the original and how surprising well it works!
